Can I apply for a credit card online?

You can apply for a personal credit card online. However, if you wish to apply for a Business Rewards Visa® credit card, you must visit a branch. Check out what credit cards Landmark has to offer!

Can I get convenience checks on my Visa® Credit Card?

No, Landmark does not currently offer convenience checks.

Can I get my credit card interest rate lowered?

We offer our members the best possible interest rates on credit cards, so we cannot accommodate rate adjustment requests.

Can I make a payment on my Landmark credit card at one of your branches?

Yes, you can make a payment on your Landmark credit card at any of our branches.

Can I set up an automatic credit card payments from another bank account?

Yes, you can set up automatic payments from an external account within Digital Banking or the mobile app.

Can I transfer higher rate credit card balances to my Landmark credit card?

Do I have to be a current member to apply for a credit card?

You do not have to be a current member to apply for a credit card. If approved, you will be asked to establish a membership by opening a $5 VIP Savings account before the card is ordered. This account will need to remain open throughout the time you have the credit card.

Do I need to contact Landmark when traveling out of state?

With our improved fraud detection from Landmark and Visa ® , you no longer have to call when you're traveling within the United States. It is still recommended that you notify us when you're traveling internationally. Note that, wherever you're traveling, we'll continue to monitor your account for suspicious activity, and get in touch with you immediately to verify transactions. To ensure that your transactions are completed securely, use your Landmark chip cards for all transactions. Cards with chip technology provide better security and faster transaction completion so you can confidentially use your card in your travels.

Does Landmark offer its own credit card?

Yes, Landmark offers several credit card programs including Rewards cards, Cash Back cards, Student cards, Business cards and Secured cards. We invite you to learn more about our credit card options and apply online.

How are exchange rates determined on credit cards?

A 1% charge will be assessed for any transactions made in a foreign country. Visa ® International will convert foreign currency to US dollars using either the government-mandated exchange rate or the wholesale exchange rate in effect one day before the conversion date as applicable. See the Credit Card Agreement and Disclosures brochure sent with your card for more information. Please contact our Credit Card Department to request a new copy.

How can I close my Visa® credit card account?

How can I request a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for my credit card?

If you need to request a PIN, please call credit card customer service at 866-952-8199 or the phone number found on the back of your credit card. PIN numbers cannot be requested or issued online.

How can I view my credit card statement online?

To view your credit card statement online, log in to Digital Banking. Find your credit card account on your dashboard, and click "View Transactions."

How do I activate my credit card?

Activating your card is easy! Keep your card number handy and call the number found on the back of your card. Calling from your home phone number is preferred.

How do I apply for a credit card?

How do I cancel a transaction on my credit card?

Once a transaction has been authorized on your card, we are not able to stop the charge from posting to your card. If you had set up a recurring charge on your credit card to pay for a service you wish to cancel, you should contact the company that is making the charge directly and request to cancel it.

In Case of Fraud
If you believe there is fraud on your card, call credit card customer service immediately to notify them of the fraud and have a new card issued. You can find the phone number on the back of your credit card or use the appropriate phone number listed below.

You must notify us of any error you're disputing within 60 days of the date that the first statement on which the charge appears was sent to you.

How do I check my credit card balance?

You can access your credit card information and make payments online.

Log in to your Digital Banking account, and click on your credit card account from your dashboard.

How do I obtain a copy of my credit card disclosure?

You may request a copy of your credit card disclosure by contacting us. A paper copy of your disclosure will be mailed within 30 days.

How do I replace my credit card?

If your card has been lost or stolen, please contact credit card customer service immediately, signature 855-340-8778 (for cash back credit cards only) and non-signature 866-952-8199, to report that the card is no longer in your possession and request a new card.

How do I track my credit card activities?

You can view a current history of your credit card transactions through Digital Banking. Log into your Digital Banking account, and click on the credit card name and "View all Transactions" to review your transaction history.

How long will it take to replace my lost or stolen Visa® card?

How long will it take to resolve a credit card dispute?

Once filed with our processor, credit card disputes can take up to 120 days to be resolved.

If I want a Landmark Credit Card, do I have to open any other accounts?

You will need to open and maintain a VIP Savings Account with a minimum deposit of $5.00 throughout the time your credit card is open. This savings account establishes your membership with Landmark. We invite you to learn more about our credit cards and apply online.

Is there a grace period on cash advances?

No, there is no grace period for cash advances. Interest will start accruing from the date the cash advance posts.

Is there a grace period on credit card purchases, cash advances or convenience checks?

The grace period on credit card purchases will depend on the type of card you currently have. There is no grace period on cash advances or convenience checks. For information about your specific card, please call credit card customer service at 866-952-8199 or the phone number on the back of your card.

My Visa® card has expired, and I have not received my new card.

Your card is valid through the end of the month in which it expires. You can expect your new card to arrive mid-month in the month it expires. If you have not received your new card by this time, contact us, call 866-952-8199 or call the number on the back of your card.

We have a lot of credit card debt. Is it possible to transfer some or all of the balance to a Landmark Credit Card?

We offer several types of credit cards to fit your needs. Some or all of the balance of your other credit cards could be transferred to a Landmark credit card depending on the credit line for which you are approved and the amount of credit card debt you want to transfer. If you aren't a member yet and your credit card application is approved, you will need to establish a membership with Landmark by opening and maintaining at least a $5.00 VIP Savings Account throughout the time you have the credit card. What are the age limits for the Student Visa® Credit Card?

What is the average wait time for approval on a credit card application?

Credit card application approval times may vary. We strive to make a decision on credit card applications within two business days of receipt. Contact our Credit Card Department to check on the status of your application.

What is the difference between a credit card and a debit card?

A credit card is an extension of credit. When using a credit card, you are using borrowed money which you agree to pay back. Purchases you make using a credit card are subject to applicable finance charges and credit balance limits. When using a debit card, you are using your own money. Transactions are posted directly to your checking account and subject to the available balance in your checking account and daily dollar amount and transaction amount limits set by your financial institution.

What is the limit for a cash advance on my Visa® card?

Cash advance limits vary based on your available credit and the type of card program. Please call the number on the back of your credit card for inquiries on your specific card.

What is the maximum limit on a credit card?

The current maximum of all unsecured debt is $25,000.00. This would include any credit cards and other unsecured debt you have with Landmark Credit Union.

What rate do you charge for international purchases with credit cards?

A 1% charge will be assessed for any transactions made in a foreign country. If you plan on using a Landmark credit card while traveling abroad, please notify us with your itinerary. This will prevent your card from being blocked and allow for uninterrupted service.

Who do I call for a lost or stolen credit card?

We offer several types of loans, including a savings or certificate-secured loan, which may fit your needs. Please contact us, and speak with a loan officer for assistance with your individual situation.

Landmark membership required. Cards are issued by Landmark Credit Union pursuant to a license from Visa® USA Inc. Rates are variable and subject to change.

Points will be earned based on your qualifying net purchases (purchases minus returns and/or other related credits). You do not earn points for unauthorized or fraudulent charges or for fees of any kind on your card account. An account will be disqualified if it becomes past due 60 or more days. Qualifying for gas and dining out points is based on the merchant's designation, based on what it primarily sells. Purchases will not earn rewards if the merchant’s designation is not eligible.

0% Intro APR available on purchases and non-Landmark balance transfers. The introductory APR for purchases will apply to transactions posted to your account during the first 12 months following the opening of your account. A balance transfer must be made within 60 days from account opening to qualify for the introductory APR. The introductory APR for balance transfers will apply during the first 12 months following the opening of your account for balance transfers completed within the first 60 days of account opening. Any existing balances on Landmark Credit Union loan or credit card accounts are not eligible for the introductory APR for balance transfers. After introductory period, variable rate will be 15.24% - 24.24% APR based on creditworthiness and will vary based on the Prime Rate. Cash advances are not eligible for the 0% Intro APR. Cash advance non-variable APR is 29.99%. Allow 3-4 weeks for balance transfers. An account will be disqualified if it becomes past due 60 or more days. Cash advance fee of $5 or 3% of the amount of each cash advance, whichever is greater applies. Foreign transaction fee of 1% of each transaction in U.S. dollars applies. No fee on balance transfers made within 60 days of account opening. After, balance transfer fee of $5 or 5% of the amount of each balance transfer, whichever is greater.

Disqualified from earning cash bonus or rewards points bonus if account is 30 days past due. Fraudulent charges and fees of any kind do not count towards the total of $1,000. For purchases only (not including credit for returns or fees and fraudulent charges). If qualified, bonus will appear on the monthly statement 30 days following the end of the promotion period and will be displayed as an addition to rewards points earned-to-date.
